Our team will be heading North for the Road Expo Scotland at Edinburgh's Royal Highland Centre on 2-3 November.
We'll be on hand at Stand G4 to answer questions about Blakedale's expanding fleet and range of road safety vehicles and products. We'll also be inviting visitors to head over to Demo Area 8 where our latest 18 tonne traffic management Impact Protection Vehicle will be on display.
The new high roof Iveco is equipped with a Crash Cushion and vertical lift LED light arrow board at the rear, boasts a larger 250 bhp engine, air suspension, cross cab access and additional cab space for three occupants. Blakedale’s new IPV model is also fitted with a recordable multi-camera system that covers virtually every angle of the vehicle.
Although the primary purpose of this camera system is to enable drivers to see oncoming traffic from all directions (by eliminating any blind spots), it is providing further value by recording high definition quality evidence of any accidents, incidents or near misses that occur around the vehicle or working area.
Additionally, optional live-stream software enables the tracking and monitoring of multiple vehicles via an online app which Blakedale customers can download and access on their computers and mobile devices. As well as providing accurate arrival time estimates, the live streaming also helps fleet managers to ensure their crews are working safely and are wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
“We’re excited to be joining over 100 exhibitors at this year’s Road Expo Scotland. We will be demonstrating the various features and benefits of our latest Impact Protection Vehicle which is quickly proving to be a game changer with regards to making the job of working on the UK’s roads a safer place to be,” says Blakedale Joint Managing Director, Richard Smith.
