3.5t LTMA Crash Cushion Vehicles

One of the first of its kind in the UK, Blakedale's 3.5t Light Truck Mounted Attenuator (LTMA) Crash Cushion Vehicle provides additional workforce protection on carriageways up to 40 mph.

Crash Cushion Vehicles, or Impact Protection Vehicles (IPVs), are mainly used to accompany maintenance or construction works vehicles on motorways and other high-speed carriageways. However, the potentially lifesaving protection they can provide in other environments, to both road workers and road users, cannot be denied.  As a result, we have introduced a compact 3.5 tonne model.
