Blakedale cushions now rated at
110 km/h (70mph)
On November 1st the new UK standards for lorry mounted crash cushions (LMCC) came into force, (TD49/07 -Vol. 8 Chapter 4 Part 7).
The new legislation requires impact testing at the higher performance level of 110 km/h.
Cushions that were previously qualified to NCHRP 350 are now required to perform an additional test. 100km/h products must now run a test at 110km/h.
As a result the manufacturers of the Safestop 90 and the MPS350 have succeeded in passing this new test, 3-51.UK of TD49/07.
Blakedale are now able to offer the only two models of lorry mounted crash cushions that fully comply with the new HA requirement.
