Description:
Truck mounted Crash Cushion tested to NCHRP350 Level 3 at 100km/h (62mph). Suitable for vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 10 tonnes or more. Vertical Lift Lighting arrow offers full utilisation of vehicle load space.
Operation:
Full hydraulic raise and lower from cab with additional control station on cushion. Integral electro-hydraulic power pack powered from vehicle battery. Audible warning during cushion lowering.
Cab controls:
Cab control station with controls for cushion up/down, digital control for VSA signboard with left, right and hard shoulder modes and malfunction display. Constant voltage and brightness indication.
Electrics:
Full road lighting with cushion in both raised and lowered position. Number plate holders. Quick release connections between vehicle and crash cushion.
Beacons:
Single beacon mounted to offside of VSA board, twin beacon mounted on end of cushion. All cab controlled.
Markings:
Red reflective / yellow striping to rear of cushion when both up and down. Side yellow reflective striping. ‘Motorway Maintenance' sign when cushion up.
Construction:
Shear plate technology offering high performance and bolt-on repairability. Fully demountable for vehicle utilisation. End and side panels bolt on for quick replacement for nuisance damage. Universal truck brackets for cushion interchangeability between different vehicles.
Sign boards:
Vertical Lift VSA lighting arrow comprising 2 off xenon flashing amber lights and 25 off amber flashing lights to show left or right arrow synchronised with lower 1500mm arrow sign all controlled from the cab. Top board raised and lowered hydraulically from cab.
Autobrake:
Automatic impact braking system to all wheels with cushion activated switch and cab master switch.
